The short version

This policy explains how Sanity Cleaning Services handles your personal information. We only collect the details we need to reply to your enquiry and quote your cleaning, plus the website usage statistics described under Cookies and analytics below. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to any marketing lists. Where the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 apply, we handle your personal information in accordance with them.

What we collect

When you fill in the quote form, or call or email us, we collect the details you choose to give us: usually your name, your phone number and email address, your suburb, the type of clean you need, and anything you tell us about the job. We only collect what is reasonably required to deliver our services, manage bookings, issue invoices, communicate with you and meet our business and legal obligations.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare and talk through a quote, arrange and carry out the cleaning, issue invoices, and stay in touch about your job. That is all we do with the details you give us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We may disclose relevant information to our own employees or contractors so they can deliver your service, to third-party service providers such as payment processors, or to government authorities where legally required. When you submit the quote form, your message passes through this website's hosting and form provider to reach our inbox.

Photos and quality records

Where reasonably necessary, our staff may take photos of work areas, access issues, hazards, existing damage, completed work or matters relating to a complaint. These are used for quality control, safety, training, dispute resolution and record keeping. They are stored securely and are not shared publicly.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including secure systems, locked storage and limiting access to authorised people only. As with any message sent over the internet, no method of transmission is completely secure, so please avoid including sensitive information you would not normally send by email.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use it: which pages they visit, roughly where they are (to city level), which device and browser they are on, and whether they use the quote form, a call or email button, or look at the pricing page. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (small files stored in your browser) so that a returning visitor is not counted as a new one.

It does not receive your name, phone number, email address or anything you type into the quote form. The only quote-form detail it receives is the service you choose from the list. Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. We have turned Google's advertising features off, so this website sets no advertising or remarketing cookies.

Analytics data is held by Google, which may store it on servers outside Australia. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out browser add-on, and this website will still work.

Making a privacy complaint

If you believe Sanity Cleaning Services has mishandled your personal information, call 0484 284 629 or email sanitycleaning@gmail.com and tell us what happened. We aim to resolve complaints within 3 business days wherever possible. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
